There is a belief out there that you have to choose.
Either you accept your body as it is…
Or you work to change it.
I do not agree with that.
You can do both.
You can accept where you are right now without judgment.
And you can still want to improve.
In fact, that is where the best progress comes from.
Most people I work with are not chasing perfection.
They are not trying to become someone else.
They want to feel better.
Move better.
Have more energy.
Be stronger.
Feel more confident in their own skin.
That is not self-rejection.
That is self-respect.
There is a big difference between hating your body and wanting more for it.
Hate leads to extremes.
All or nothing thinking.
Burnout.
Starting over again and again.
Respect leads to consistency.
You take care of your body because you value it.
You train because you want to get stronger.
You eat better because you want to feel better.
You show up because you made a commitment to yourself.
No punishment.
No guilt.
No extremes.
Just progress.
You do not need to tear yourself down to build yourself up.
You can appreciate where you are while still working toward where you want to go.
That is the balance.
And that is where real change happens.
